Toko Studios/How it works

How it fits together

Everything we build feeds the next thing

Toko Studios isn't a pile of separate projects. The open-source foundations power the Toko platform; our products are built on Toko; and what those products learn in the real world flows back down to make the foundations better. One loop, getting stronger each time round.

One back end, many surfaces

Every product runs on the same foundations - the same canister fleet, database and test tools. Work done for one lands for all of them.

Proven under real load

A live game stresses the infrastructure in ways a benchmark never will. The fixes land upstream, in the open-source libraries anyone can use.

On chain, end to end

State, assets and logic all live on the Internet Computer - not a web app with a chain bolted on the side.

Each launch starts ahead

Asset pipelines, translation and gameplay systems built for one product carry straight into the next one.

The detail

The stack, in one picture

For the technically minded: the foundations sit at the bottom, the Toko platform in the middle, and the products on top - with the dashed lines showing what flows back down.
